Kilita Smith, a Founding Escrow Officer at Peak Escrow, brings more than 20 years of escrow experience along with a diverse background in real estate, finance, asset management, and property management. Her breadth of experience has given her a unique understanding of the many perspectives involved in a real estate transaction, allowing her to approach each escrow with a comprehensive understanding of the needs and expectations of lenders, brokers, investors, buyers, and sellers.

 

Kilita holds an MBA from the University of Southern California with a focus in Real Estate Finance and has completed the coursework required to apply for a California Real Estate Broker’s license. Her extensive education and professional experience provide her with a strong foundation for understanding the financial and operational complexities that can arise throughout a transaction. She is particularly skilled at identifying challenges, developing practical solutions, and helping clients and industry professionals navigate even the most unique escrow situations.

 

Known for her exceptional communication skills and commitment to client service, Kilita believes that being accessible and responsive is an essential part of being a successful Escrow Officer. She takes the time to understand her clients’ needs, remains readily available to answer questions, and works diligently to ensure that each transaction receives the attention and care it deserves. Her dedication to her clients and her ability to build lasting relationships helped her grow her escrow desk from primarily refinance transactions into a highly successful resale and refinance operation early in her escrow career.

 

Today, Kilita and her team handle a broad range of residential and commercial transactions, including resale and refinance escrows, REOs, short sales, and For Sale By Owner transactions. Her combination of technical expertise, real estate knowledge, and genuine commitment to her clients allows her to provide thoughtful guidance and dependable service throughout the escrow process.
